When Chris Frauhiger showed up for the annual consumers vs. staff basketball game Wednesday afternoon, he couldn’t figure out where the rest of his team was.

Apparently, he didn’t get the memo. The Poodles had rebranded themselves as the “Golden Retrievers,” a play on “The Golden Girls” TV show. When they finally took the court, they shuffled out in old lady wigs, granny glasses, housecoats and slippers, with a couple of players using walkers to add to the effect.

It may have been a shrewd defensive tactic, because the Bulldogs surely could have scored more if they hadn’t been laughing so hard. They still trounced the Retrievers, 108-38.
