Education: Bachelor's degree in music therapy. Board certified through Certification Board for Music Therapists

The Opportunity

Implements and conducts music therapy programs in accordance with the Code of Ethics set forth by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the mission of Bi-County Services, Inc. Pay ranges from $25-$30 per hour based on experience.

-Provides music therapy and implements training program as described in individuals PC-ISP.

-Assesses consumers' strengths and needs in reference to music therapy and other disciplines.

-Plans, develops, and implements treatment for each individual.

-Documents progress, attendance, and incident reports according to Bi-County policies.

-Assists the person to become adequately oriented to his/her music therapy.

-Orders and maintains instruments, supplies, and equipment.

-Leads music therapy activities at flexible hours.

-Initiates, coordinates, and implements performances with groups.

-Organizes music therapy program area.

-Consults with co-workers to schedule music activities.

-Ensures consumers have a safe environment to include free from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violation of rights.

-Abides by professional standards set forth by the AMTA.

-Participates in staff development, inservice training and staff meetings, as required; maintains professional requirements.

-Complies with agency Policies which include Employee Handbook and Code of Business Practices and Ethics.
