‘I Can’t Believe I Get Paid To Do What I Do'
Inside BCS

Larry Braun's 25+ years at BCS have been entertaining and meaningful

Larry Braun remembers telling his wife after he began working at Bi-County Services, “I can’t believe I get paid to do what I do.”

Nearly 27 years later, he still feels the same way. During his time at BCS, Larry has accompanied a consumer on a trip to New York City, attended a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, gone for a cruise on Lake Erie, gone camping and had fun at amusement parks.

At one point Larry worked with Paul, whose goal was to eat lunch at every restaurant in Bluffton. They enjoyed several tasty meals on the way to helping Paul achieve his goal.

Every year Larry attends a Fort Wayne TinCaps game with the same three guys: Josh, Keith and Jeff.

He no longer views BCS consumers as “clients” or part of his job. They are his friends.

“We share yearly picnics and Christmas meals. With my friends, I have gone to movies, ate at restaurants, laughed at a Globe Trotter’s game, watched the Circus, visited parks, baked cookies, made soap, shared a homestyle meal at an Amish farm, gone for bike rides and visited arcades.”
